Join our team: Kaimahi Rangatahi / Youth worker
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of rangatahi? YCD is looking for a dedicated Youth Worker to walk alongside young people in Ōtautahi.
In this role, you will build positive relationships, facilitate engaging programmes, and provide guidance to support the social, emotional, and personal development of taiohi. You’ll be a trusted advocate, helping them connect to their strengths, whānau, and community.
We are looking for someone who:
Has a passion for youth work and a commitment to our values of Accountability, Empowerment, Inclusivity, Aroha, and Positivity.
Can build trust and rapport with at-risk Taiohi and manage challenging behaviours.
Has experience or understanding of the Youth Justice system and community networks.
Brings cultural competency and a desire to honour the identity of every young person.
